This wish has been granted |
Description
A feature that would be welcome is to make tag changes visible in the history tab. As of now, there's no way of knowing if tags have been changed or removed, and by who. This means that anyone with the access to edit pages can also edit or remove some or even all tags on a wiki without it registering in either recent changes, the history tab, or in meta data.
==> this is working now since 2009-03-17 (Syntax -Changes )
Editing tags creates a history entry ( not a revision ) - for documentation only .
Hav e a look on the histoty of this wish!

We encourage you to "rate" the suggestions. The higher the rating, the better the chance of the wish being granted (well, possibly).
Yup… this thing is cruical in quite a time… because the work of wiki is open, the irresponsible contributor might erase or delete the tags that provided in the page.
Yup… Sure is…
You can allow the page edit buttons ( with the tags buton) only for the creator (author) of a page.
And if you want collaboration for all visiotors within the tags too - than put a "stand alone page button" anywhere at the page..( _template) .
As long as the tags are not in the history and not in the backup too - you can make it a little more secure with this worklaround
