Redirect a complete category

Mass redirection from a bad-named-category to a new one
New instructions
1. Read carefully the Redirect module documentation
2. Write down this URL address for recovery purpose:
http://yoursite.wikidot.com/bad-named-category:_template/noredirect/true
3. Create a bad-named-category:_template with the following content:
[[module Redirect destination="new-category:%%page_name%%"]]
Note that %%content%% is necessary to activate the variable %%page_name%%
Hence a bad-named-category:page1 would be redirected to new-category:page1

Is there a possiblity to redirect just a page to a new name within the same category?

I think, normal "standard module redirect" should do this!
means following code inserted at the start of the "old" page ("your-old-category:your-old-page.name") should do exact this:
have a look about the problem of editing of a redirected page - only possible with the expanded URL:

This is awsome! Thanks, Helmuti! Just what I needed…

Is there a way to list them, just in case I want to change them or to delete them…? I plan to make many redirections, so I cannot remember all of them…

Good question! I have no idea!
is interesting if the module Pages or ListPages show both ( new redirected and original one)

Hi Brunhilda,
A good way to recognise your redirect page is to add "redirect" to the page title.
That way it is easy to distinguish between the two in the system:list-all-pages page.
It is also helpful, so that you don't accidently delete an important redirect page by mistake.

Thank you, Brad, but I need to have a list of them… Or at least, for example if I could se somewhere how many redirects has one page…
But, I have been doing a little brainstorming and I found out that I can put a tag "redirect" to each page when I create it, and then use listpages module…

I would use the "_redirect" tag to avoid listing in tagclouds.
I don't have free tagclouds, all my tagclouds have parameters what to show and what not to show.
But, I myself found out that tagging is not the solution, since I have the most recent list pages module in the front page, and considering that redirects and articles belong to the same category, then redirects also apppear as new articles, and this is not good. Therefore, I changed the category, and I list them now through category that is unique only for redirect pages… The result is the same, which can be seen in the link I gave above…
Besides, it is easier, because I don't have to write manually url every time I create a redirect in order to put a tag to it…
