1. Log in to Twitter.
2. Visit the badge page: http://twitter.com/badges
3. Choose a badge
4. Customize your badge if you'd like
5. Copy and paste the code into a [
] block
If you make and error with your code, and then fix it, you will not see the correct working UNTILL you have cleared out your browser cache. This also applies to having correct code, then editing incorrectly. it will display as if it is working, but it isn't!
To see the full code, use view source

I inserted an image like feed on my test site:
http://helmuti-pdorf.wikidot.com/twitter-feed and put the iframe on the nav.side… ( left bottom ).
Now I have to play with the style ( "UL" I do not like) and the font-size

I hate it when these sites change their code so their widgets stop working!
Thanks for pointing this out - I didn't even realize it was broken until i saw your post. You can get updated code from Twitter here: http://twitter.com/goodies/widgets Even the link on Twitter's help section still points to the old badges page.
There's some new gadgets available and a nice interface to tweak the look before copying your code. I got it working on my site with a code block and iframe. I'll update this howto after I get some sleep unless someone beats me to it.

so i though all i had to do, being as all they have done is change the code, is to replace that code.
Wrong!
don't wanna work.
As there are now a number of other methods of doing this i am wondering it should be binned?
Either we need to list the various methods or delete the whole thing and respond when asked. Not sure of the best approach.. Just for the record, the method I use for displaying a tweet (if I ever remember to do it) is a straight codeblock/iframe combo:
Edit: Sorry, forgot to mention that the page at Twitter for that code which has a range of other good badges is http://twitter.com/badges

well, this is the page that I am trying to add a twitter list widget, and the code of it is here. I think I am doing nothing wrong, but it does not want to show itself. Can someone help me?
Replace the first line : [
] by [
]
and the last one : [
] by [
]

Thanks matey! :) It works!
I was having problems on my own because I was using the embed feature rather than the html code. Your suggestion of viewing your source showed me exactly what I was doing wrong. Pictures (and source code) are worth a thousand words….
