Basics

There are 2 kinds of templates:

  • the static template:flowers used at page creation, usually with Newpage module, in this case, for creating similar pages about flowers
  • the live flowers:_templatewhich ensures a common layout for a category flowers, allows the use of variables and can be modified further at wish

Since the live _template can also be designed to create a default content for new pages, the static template should be considered as deprecated.

Tips

  • A live _template has no effect on other pages that start with an underscore, e.g. flowers:_start
  • Do not forget %%content%% otherwise the page would appear empty
