I´m a new one trying to learn how to use this wonderful site. I study at a mexican university and really need to improve how we share information because we are studing "at distance", up to this date we use the email but it is a kind of nightmare
I have seen that there are a lot of experts and users that helps and it´s amazing…I also have the language issue so hope to be able to learn

Hi all, now that my wikidot site is up and running publicly I thought it would be a good time to say hi. Not sure if this is the best place to do that.
I've really enjoyed how easy Wikidot is to use. I tried a few other sites before this, but none had the customizability and ease of use. (Really shocked that the college professor below me couldn't figure it out. The documentation is pretty clear.)

Ok, As a College Professor I should be able to do this but apparently this is beyond me. I've used other simpler Wiki's and they took minutes. Obviously your site is more advanced but I'm trying to introduce my students to the concept of using Virtual documents like Wiki's and can't spend hours trying to figure it out myself. After several hours last night and several today, I still can't even edit the main headings on the top menu bar. All I wanted was a simple page allowing the students to write their papers in a virtual doc, not to frustrate them. Moving on….

I'm a children's librarian, and I just created my first wiki on this site yesterday. Some of the wikis I'm seeing here are amazing — but I haven't found any other public library wikis yet.
Are there any other librarians from public libraries out there? Especially Youth Services people?

I am struggling as I learn how to build websites and this site looks exceptionally hard, but it also looks like it has a lot of possibilities once I manage to learn the 'language' - at least I hope I do. I am a teacher in Norway, and my user-name belonged to my distant ancestor. His name was William (Guillaume in French), he was almost certainly Breton himself as he was serving man (waiter) to Count Alain of Bretagne. The Anglo-Saxon monks trying to spell his name wrote it the way it probably sounded to them: "Whyomar".
