Wiki | Wtf»» |
The web building software you've always dreamed of.
The first wiki, known as WikiWikiWeb, was created by Ward Cunningham in the mid-90s.
On Wikidot.com, a wiki is a "SITE" with a subdomain name like "www.YOURSITENAME.wikidot.com", and is LINKED and bound "near forever" to the user-id who created it as the first "Masteradmin". This MA ( masteradmin) and his rigths can be shifted to another account, but only by the "old" masteradmin - and of course only 1 x.
- Be careful: if an MA-account is deleted, the Site is NOT deleted by any automatic, and lives than "near forever", until another account claims the name on the site http://site-name.wikidot.com/ - where abandoned Wiki's can be collected and notified for re-use.
