He was editing the page, all going well, then saved it. Presumably he went back to re edit and found the buttons including edit had gone.
I as the admin have fiddled but cannot understand why?

Does anyone else?

I could always do a http://mm2sc.wikidot.com/sip2/ but would rather not as there is a lot of stuff on there which would need copying and pasting and rescripting in places.
I tried your way James but unfortunately it loaded the page with still no edit box.

If you would like to join the wiki to see if you can make better sense of it than I, then i'd be most grateful.

I moved the thread to "bug" because:

I made some tests on the page - it seems to be the last embedded code on the page ( or iframe, it has the same effect) .

from :

[[embed]]
<iframe src ="http://www.chatshack.net/mm2sip" width="90%" height="1500" frameborder="0"> </iframe>
[[/embed]]

which has the effect, that all CONTENT under the iframed" foreign internet chat room " is NOT SHOWN AND NOT AVAILABLE.
( even I put in a _template with a text ---- under the last content)

If I clicked on a "private" edit button ( in the nav:side bar) I got the error in the firebug:

Fehler: $("action-area") has no properties
Quelldatei: http://static.wikidot.com/common--javascript/WIKIDOT.page.js

and there is no "standard end" of the page!

or http://mm2sc.wikidot.com/sip3 ( only "iframed" - worked but cannot be editet)
or http://mm2sc.wikidot.com/sip4 shows the source of the sip page with outcoded embed code… to have a look what ison the page…

please, can someon of the team have a look ?

EDIT: by mistake the embeeded code worked here on the forum - looks like another theme is running?

It's the bug in tidy, but it's triggered by:

• using non-existing flickr image in header ++ header [[f>image flickr:009873298274987]]

and

• any iframe [[embed]]<iframe src="anything"></iframe>[[/embed]]

at the same time

I've moved the [[f>image flickr:009873298274987]] to it's own line in the http://mm2sc.wikidot.com/sip/ , and it seems OK now.

We'll fix it soon.
