"Operation Aborted" message in IE

Some of my users have started reporting a popup error shown by Microsoft Internet Explorer that says :-

"Internet Explorer cannot open the site «mysite-name/page-name»

Operation Aborted"

It then shows a general "page cannot be displayed" screen. It only happens for a certain page on my site, and trying again renders the page OK.

I'm guessing it's some javascript issue that IE has - anyone had a similar experience and can give some advice ?

Can you specify the URL for me… it is needed for me to analyze it…

For the JavaScript issue… do you use the iframe ([[include url]]), or embeded ([[embed]]) services in your Wiki page?

I am new to wikidot and have just created a private site for my friends and I to use.

This is happening to me as well, is this happening to a lot of people? Is there a fix? (Or could it be a problem with my syntax?) The pages that the error is occuring on are quite simple with just text really.

Which IE are you using `?

IE 7 , IE 8 or Firefox ( 2. or 3) , or Chrome, Safari, —-.. which browser?

on which system?

Edit: try youre pages with another "THEME" ( Site manager - appearance) - siometimes IE has troubles with it.

Thanks for the reply.

I have IE version 7.0.5730.13. on windows XP.

I tried changing the theme as you suggested and I still get the error. I find it is intermittent and that it doesn't always happen on the same page. I doesn't happen too often, probably once every 45 minutes when I am surfing around my wiki.

It seems strange but perhaps I could just go ahead and install the latest firefox?
