@fortunzfavor : I am sorry, but if someone create a new site , she/he gets a fresh - new start/welcome page which says all this answers we give her again and again and again.. :)
My answer is ( always the same):
@mikisdad : read the gotten start page!
the answer to your question: help:menu
have a look: howto:site-start
==> easiest way : go to the tag cloud left side bar and click on "menu" or "navigation" and so what ever you search for..
And: welcome and good luck on wikidot.com!

Oh well =(
go to page "nav:top", scroll to the where it says "edit", and alter it like you would any other page.
@ the wikidot elite
New sites should come with a link in the top and side menu bars "Edit this panel/menu bar" It saw that on the side panel for my original Co theme. Do they all have that? This is the most asked question on the forums (nothing against you mikisdad, just looking for a way to make things easier on new users).
Also, if in the comment on the page it explained how to get back to it, it would save several people some hardship. I've seen questions from people asking how to get back to the side panel to change it after removing the link.
I'm sorry but these directions don't seem very clear to me. I need to change the menu on my page, it still says "example menu", but I have been unable to find a way to do so. I finally went looking in the forums for answers to this question and I'm still uncertain. I don't know where I'm supposed to find the "nav:top" you are talking about. Can you give me more detailed instructions?? Thanks…

this will let you edit the top nav bar. which by the looks of, you have edited in the past.
here is a basic code that you can copy and paste into it
to give you an idea.

Thanks for the help. I ended up finding the page and editing it somewhat after I posted my question. The examples you gave will help me in the future though.
I have inserted on the community site on the top bar menu the 2 nav: pages
==> go to "Doc & Help"
and have a look how this pages are "named" and how they are build….
