Is there some way to include in the css theme a way to make the BG for the solving math equation not black? I have a black page and it makes it impossible to solve the equation for posting new pages. Users can click where the equation is and drag the image to reveal the equation, but for newer users it would be nice to be able to read it. If ic can't be changed, fair enough, just curious.
It would be helpful if you give us a link to a page that has an equation so we can inspect it. I'm sure it can be fixed with CSS.
That's a difficult one, its adding a new page in a specific category. I assume it has to deal with abuse, which I've set to allow 0 karma folks to post links.
Here is the page with the appropriate new page module that leads to the equation: http://calaveras.wikidot.com/active
Just make a new PC there at the top. I'll send you an invite to joint the site as a member (or anyone else that wants to look and may be able to point in the right direction).
Thanks
I'm missing something. I accepted your invite and created a PC page, but didn't have to solve an equation. Probably because I have high karma.
I deleted the page I created so I don't clutter your site.
Do you know how to use your browser's "Inspect" option? It's in most modern browsers under the right-click context menu. If you right-click the element with the equation and choose "Inspect" it will open a window where you can find the CSS ID and/or class names to target so you can apply new styles. You can even make CSS changes to see how they look before making them permanent in your site. I use it all the time to help answer questions like this.
There are tons of YouTube videos that show the basics of using the inspector.
I think it is related to the karma level of posters, but I turned it off and set it to karma level 0 to post links. It still occurs for new members with karma 1 even.
On inspect elemetn in the html portion it is class="captcha-image" and on the styles side it is inherited from div#main-content
I don't want to change main content bg to white, but I'd like to be able to put a white background beyind the captcha-image that generates for solving the equation.
Found it, it is #edit-page-captcha, I changed the BG to white in styles. Thanks for pointing me to inspect to look Ed, it is very much appreciated.
