The background style sheet on the Wikidot "Shiny Theme - no side bar" runs from black at the top to white at the bottom, all the way down from the very top header bars to the very bottom of the page. Very nice. I'd like very much to keep it that way.

There seems to be a major flaw with the template design though.
As soon as the need for a horizontal scroll bar kicks in for mobile phone or tablet widths, the style sheet gives up, leaving the left hand side stylized normally and the right hand side a plain white background. (I don't even see why the break point kicks in so early for no apparent reason.)
Disastrously, the top navigation bar text is in white, meaning it effectively become invisible and useless when caught on the wrong side of the break.
Is there anything that can be done to make the "black to white vertical background sheet" hold it's design fully at all browser widths?
Yours hopefully
William
