When the page is loaded, it automatically opens the first tab - but is it somehow possible to show second or third one instead?
Sorry, can't be done. This has been asked and answered many times over the years.

The docs explain it can't be done:
http://www.wikidot.com/doc-wiki-syntax:layout#tabview
Your best bet would be to use a Bootstrap theme and use tabs or pills.
Right, it should be possible. It requires Wikidot to update the yui tabview backend code from Yahoo APIs or implement it in a different way. The code they use here has been deprecated since 2011.
Since development around here has been virtually non-existent for years, I wouldn't hold my breath.
So, I disassembled that page, threw off all unneccessary things and found roots of the answer.

It doesn't work in comments but makes nice tabs on pages. Highlighted part allows to open that tab instead of the default first one, but I couldn't understand where it's code is located. And ideally it should work without HTML module, just with "tabview" or maybe "div"…
I am astonished - is this really a wikidot wiki?

It's the same YUI tabs, and Wikidot isn't too different ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's only the method that matters, not the code itself.
Thanks, I understand the technic is the question… and if wikidot uses it in such a way.. than there could be a different way..

I replaced "Tab Content" in HTML module to "[[include page]]" - it worked well with text, but all [[div]] styles were broken. Is it somehow possible to bypass this problem without rewriting the whole thing? I mean, if it understands not only < > brackets, but [[ ]] too, there should be a solution.
