After I provide the correct userid and password, the progress bar runs forever, and the login form is not dismissed.

I get this from time to time.

If it doesnt sort it self out within 5 - 7 secs i just refresh my browser.

I made the strange experience, I was logged in in all wikidot sub sites in all browsers (FF,IE) in all tabs ,
and than opened the ilovehyec site and WAS NOT LGGED IN. - I had to log in or create an account…

This has the look like a"private" wikidot installation with the open source anywhere (in china ? There is no "about home" info..).

Now I made a test with "ping" command to find the network ip- adresse of this site -

the site has the same ip adress as wikidot itself… my assumption was wrong!

BUT : go to the site and you will detect the same situation - YOU ARE NOT LOGGED IN ( in IE 7.0!
in FF it works as usual - I am logged in…

I logged into the Wikidot community site (to write this post), and then opened another tab to browse to my site (ILoveHYEC.com). I was NOT logged into my site!!!

I've never discovered this problem before because I always logged into my site first and then went to the Wikidot community site, which works perfectly fine.

My site is just a normal public Wikidot site with a custom domain name (ilovehyec.com is the main domain, and www.ilovehyec.com an alias). The Wikidot-subdomain is: hyec.wikidot.com.

This is a very strange phenomenon. Could anyone explain this? Can it be considered a bug?

Btw, the ajax form problem persists. Having to refresh (or to clear the cookies) to dismiss the form cannot be considered normal behaviour can it?

If I go to URL [http://hyec.wikidot.com/] the the login works automatically AND CORRECT.

if I open the URL ilovehyec.com the site cannot be found.
If I open the URL [http://ilovehyec.wikidot.com/] the site cannot be found ? ?
if I open the URL www.ilovehyec.com then the site opens with:
**[http://www.ilovehyec.com/] and i AM logged in!

What is ongoing here?

Of course, it cannot be found. It doesn't exist — at least I didn't create it. :-)

That's strange! This is our club's official URL: I can open it; our members can open it — and our members are in Vietnam, the UK and Denmark. I hope this problem is not due to where on the earth you browse from. Gosh, this is getting me crazy.

Why all these problems suddenly appear? I just followed perfectly the instructions for setting up custom domain. The cookies must hate custom domains so much, I guess. :-(

P.S. I use FF2 mainly, IE7 just for checking. So this problem is not FF3-related like the other thread.

No one knows how to solve this problem? Maybe, we'll just have to live with it until version 2. :(
