New "live templates" could be done with original templates

The new live templates feature allows you to update pages with the template on.

However, you could have done it with the original template system, using the [[include]] syntax.

To do so, create a template, and assign it to a category.

Edit the template page, and add the following:

[[include template-content]]

Now go to http://your-site.wikidot.com/template-content. Create the page, and add all the content you want to have in the template. Save the page and it will update all pages you have used the template on.

If you have any problems, use the new system as it's simpler. :-)

Except with that, you couldn't edit parts in (I.E. a table in the template couldn't have its content changed on the child page.
