Subdomains?

For those of us using a custom domain, would it be possible to allow subdomains subordinated to the main domain?

What I mean is the following. I have a wiki mapped to my custom domain (www.mydomain.org) and three others mapped to subdomains (wiki1.mydomain.org, wiki2.mydomain.org, etc.), all of which are thematically-related. The way they're now, all these wikis are independent from each other, in such a way that membership in one of them does not imply membership in the others.

If possible, I would like to integrate them, so that becoming a member of the main wiki (www.mydomain.org) would automatically allow access to the subdomain wikis as well. Also, that would allow the content to be unified, so that clicking on a given tag would list all the relevant pages in all my wikis. Is that at all possible? If not, could it be implemented in the (near) future?

You can get all this by using one wiki with everything on it. Cross wiki relations are very poor at the moment, so it is best to just keep everything in one.

Yes, I should probably have used categories instead, but I was already moving from a site where the links had the structure subdomain.mydomain.org/somepage, and I'd rather preserve that. I've already tried remapping subdomain.mydomain.org/somepage to mydomain.org/subdomain:somepage, but it doesn't work like that.

I was wondering how Hartnell's wikicomplete.info works. Is it something like what I had in mind, or are the wikis all completely independent from each other?

He has his own separate install of the wikidot software. Basically, he has a separate wikifarm.

Hmmm, now I understand. Thanks again. It would be nice if we could have folders; that would allow one to map a subdomain to a folder, solving the problem I mentioned before. In a future development, maybe?
