My forum on abookclub.wikidot.com isn't working; When I post a new thread in the forum it isn't working properly. There's no way to delete old posts either. I've tried starting a new thread by just cutting and pasting the info (which shows up on the "recent posts" function) into the "create a new thread", but it'll just have the 2 threads and say there is a post, when there isn't one. See under "Book Chat" and then "Miscellaneous" and then the 2 threads: Introduce Yourself (but there's no content). Please email me if you need the pw to join to see it.

A) NEVER DELETE A THREAD!

Move it to the "hidden" forum category "deleted" !

Than you can delete the different posts…

B) Your site is private - no chance to get a look…

Thanks for the link; how do I recreate a page (per the link)? Is it different from just adding a new page? (Now it seems I have 2 pages called "Forum Thread" (which when clicked say, invalid thread) and one that is called forum:thread (which is blank). Thanks for any help. I'm pretty inept at this wiki thing.

Also, how do I move a thread to a hidden one? It seems I can only move a category to a hidden one (but once I have a thread in there, I can't move it to a hidden category b/c there's something there).

follow the http://community.wikidot.com/howto:forums-fixing-them exactly!
then check you have completed the hints in
http://community.wikidot.com/howto:forum-step-by-step

once you have the forum set up correctly, moving to hidden should be more evident.

If you need more help. you will have to open your site so we can see whats going on.

Okay I've got the threads I want moved to "hidden" correctly. I still have the problem where when I go to "list all pages" there are three "Forum Thread"s that when clicked say "invalid thread" b/c I guess it's deleted. But my forum's working fine now, so does it matter? (I can still create new forum threads/categories and I've moved the ones I didn't want to hidden).

clicking on "forum thread" will give you "invalid thread"
i should of said that earlier i suppose :-)

no it doesn't matter,
but if you want to tidy it up look for the one with the url…
