Apparently I am utterly without a clue

My wikidot is http://ebcdeacons.wikidot.com/. So far I have been able to create pages to put my data on with reasonable success. Obviously have not tried anything complicated. But I am utterly stonkered by the info that appears to be behind and below my pages.

The info is what is produced by the left navbar. Click on the bar and the info changes. But it is hidden behind my page of data and it is formatted into a very thin column such that it makes a very tall page. I can't find anything to affect it's appearance and formatting.

I feel like I am missing some basic concept completely. I can edit the content of my pages but I can't find a way to edit the pages themselves. In the forum there are references to nav:topbar or somesuch but I cannot find a way to edit anything except the content of my page (by clicking edit at the bottom of the very long page).

Can someone point me in the right direction?

You've put the ManageSite module in the left navbar.

The module is for wiki admins only and isn't meant to be put in the space as small as the side bar.

OoooK! But how do I get rid of it? There must be an editing area that I'm missing.

The side nav bar is just a page, usually called nav:side
In your case, edit http://ebcdeacons.wikidot.com/nav:side
