Let's say you want to change something on every page of your wiki, or you want to change occurrences of some text throughout the wiki and you don't feel like going through every page that contains that text. In this case a wiki-wide Search and Replace would come in very handy. Perhaps it could even be a part of an Advanced Search which would allow you to search for occurrences of some text based on other criteria, such as date range or page contributor.
Wiki-Wide Search and Replace
summary:
A Search and Replace form that could go through every page on a wiki would be great for making wiki-wide changes.

Re: Wiki-Wide Search and Replace
If we had a working restore site from backup functionality, this would be no problem. Basically,
- backup site
- process the text files using your favorite tools/editors/etc.
- restore the site
So, I suggest we have restore site from backup done first.
Re: Wiki-Wide Search and Replace
I second this. There is a limit to how many pages I can make, because it takes too much time to go through each one to make a simple change. This is a necessary function!
