How to remove profile info?

A member of our site has entered a birth date in their profile, and now wishes to remove it.

Unfortunately, entering anything except a valid date seems to be ignored. The best I can do is change the date to something incorrect.

Same problem for the "website" field: once I enter a URL there, I can't remove it, I can only change it to a non-existent site.

It would be really nice if it were possible to remove the information from a field.

Well, if you can't remove it, you may as well set it to something impossible (I.E. April 1st, 1216).

For a URL, just use Google or something.

I am having the same problem with the birth date and I can't even get my url to be listed! I don't think it is even accepting my site!

There is another "profil page setting" possible under your "my_account" - my profil:

Edit a page about myself.

You can always insert here a link….

And the birth-date is perhaps really a bug…not possible to put it back to day - month - year?

EDIT: The BIRTH-DAY is changablke as all other !

=> Scroill back the popup-menu to the top of the list : "Day" - "month" and clear the year with spaces…

Well … I followed Helmuti_pdorf's instructions, but I can't seem to remove my birthday information. Is anyone else still having the same problem?

=>

1. Scroll the 2 popup-menue's to the top of the Drop-down slist : "Day" - "month" and select these entries ("Day" - "month")
2. and clear the year-field with spaces or enter "Year"
3. and click on ===> SAVE…

This procedure works on my own profil settings… I saved my birthday nd cleared it back…
