Thanks, the sidebar is gone and there's no empty space.

Now all I need is to change the width of the page down to 792 and not 892 as I said earlier.

Learning some basic CSS definitely seems worth it. Looking through the code of the theme I find lots of widths I'd like to nudge and even some fonts to change…

Does code written above replace whatever is written in the original Midnight Minimalist theme or would it be better to just copy the whole MM theme and paste into my CSS page and edit it directly?

Would adding:

#container {
    width: 792px;
    margin: 0 auto;
    position: relative;

Edit: I tried it myself and the top bar and Wikidot bottom bar (Powered by Wikidot etc) remained 950 px long. Guess I'll have to wait for some more instructions.

Edit: copied and pasted some more code from the original theme and I solved it. Probably!

Any code stated after what you have imported is what is used in your theme. That is where you get the "cascading" from in Cascading Style Sheets. There can never be a conflict.
