I'm setting up a blog, which is linked to flickr by default
how would I change that to picasa/google+

Go to the (official) Wikidot Blog on :http://blog.wikidot.com/blog:improving-activities and find the google+ buton ujnder the text..
than try to find the blog:_template page and view the source:.
click on +options and than one page source to have a view how this is done…

I don't see a Google+ anything on that page?
Us the code I copied from our own blog:_template here - this looks easier…
and the google+ button is inserted in a little html window - you will never see this on a _temnplate!

I cannot answer this question .. i have no google (plus) account… bu I think this will open a google+ window with the transported Url of the page with the button..
in twitter you need to have an account and you are rooted to twitter / home ( "your" home page) and can type in some comment after the inserted URL of the wikidot page…
Could be here is the same.
If you have a google+ account - go to the newest blog: http://blog.wikidot.com/blog:improving-activities
and click on the google+ button ( or on twitter button to twitter a short message (as you can do manually of course too).
The buttons are only helping tools to key in a short message with the URL of the page to the new called application
