I uploaded an html file with the idea of including it in an iframe on my site. I did this because I had some webring code to display at the bottom of my page. It worked fine in ie, but not in firefox. Firefox just displays the html code itself. Even if I click on the uploaded html file, when I do so in ie it displays the html page, but in firefox it just displays code. So, it's not just being caused by the iframe. It seems to have something to do with the way the html was uploaded. Any ideas? Thanks.
Good question!
My problem is very similar - I want to add my own Java applet to my page.
The initial idea was to upload java class file and simple html page that displays the applet into my page
and then use [[embed]]<iframe ... >[[/embed]] or simply [[iframe]] to embed needed content.
And all I could see is html source of my page…
God bless gnbonney for this question because he/she pointed that it works in IE!
Something is obviously wrong so I've tested my files outside wikidot. And everything works (even in Firefox).
So why doesn't it work using wikidot + Firefox ???
Because gnbonney question has not been answered for almost 2 months - I'll add it to bug and issues list.
The last info gerdami sent was the fact . the java script ( or java alone ? ) file has to be renamed to another extensions like jvs… i forgot the forum thread from last week…
I found it: http://community.wikidot.com/forum/t-51141/local-javascript#post-137607
Exactly! I've missed this thread probably because I thought it has nothing to do with rendering html page…
I've change extension and now it works! Thanks a lot!
