How to let members attach files on their forum post.

Is there a way to attach file to a forum post?
Seems that when you create a new thread, when click on "Files" at the bottom of the page, you can attach files but all are on a generic forum:new-thread page.
This means that if I'll have a lot of files attached all are listend in this page by all members and that page can be reached only when you create a new thread.

Which could be the better solution to allow members to add/attach files to forum posts?

You can always use any page of your wiki to hold attached images/files the source of an image or file is always the same /page/filename or the long form of the info. option…

You have to decide where you want to allow members to attach files ( we have here on the community the page Files or forum:thread or screenshots:page snd on some og them the members can upload their image(s) or files and insert into the post the image like
[[<image http://community.wdfiles.com/local--files/forum%3Athread/xxx.jpg width="700px"]]
(long form)
or
[[<image /forum:thread/xxx.jpg width="700px"]]
(shoprt foim).

Your decision is to prepate a category and the rights for your membvers to have the opportunity to attach files/images to such page.
( and explain the image tag for the single post… as we did on our screenshots:page

If you insert an image from the Files page into a thread the syntax is very simple:

[[image /files/wikidot_hat.jpg]]

which produces this image, allegedly of a wikidot developer

Thanks a lot. I was trying a sort of Data Form to upload files but your solution is easier.
