Spammed Forum
hi, my forum was spammed with over a thousand fraudulent posts. How can these posts be removed programatically?

Summary:
fixing a spammed forum
if the poster are logged in users (= known accounts) than there is the question:
how much posters are they?
"single" posters can be stopped by messaging us their user-name ( here)
"multiple" posters are a mass problem…
How can be a fraudolent post be described or detected automatically?
If the posters are anonymous than you should change your forum permissions to logged in users only…

The forum was open to anonymous users so, I did change that permission but, that still does not help me delete the thousand posts taht were created in a day.
The site is zombie cafe wiki
I have started to write a program to get all the posts using the rpc-xml api but, there isnt a function to delete a post. There are only getters for posts in the API. Does anyone know a way around this?

Spam is every post or page written with one or more foreign links outgoing of wikidot to a site only for better SEO performance.. or for comercial adsense … if this the only action on wikidot forum or wikis.
Every spammer with only such a post (means without an own wiki with real collaboration) is detected automatically and deleted soon (and the post removed).
This has nothing to do with IP banning - this is another way for admins to stop an anonymous spammer .
A good way is to have a pro account - than it is a little difficult to delete an account and their wikis.. if the content is only a collection of forein links and not an abuse against the Terms of Conditions - the space and storage and traffic are paid then!
And a post with spam is only deleted (removed) .
Hope this makes clear that spamming in Wikidot is senseless and dangerous.
