The site webtools.wikidot.com (thread) got abandoned, but the idea was very good and the site had very good content. So i decided to continue the project myself. kawina wrote:
Have you ever used a service in your site (a form provider, a widget, etc.) only to realize that it is lousy, underdeveloped, or about to be discontinued? Or without realizing that there are other, more reliable options? I've been creating community-oriented sites for half a decade and have had this problem a few times. On the other hand, one learns a lot with the trial-and-error approach, and that knowledge should be shared as much as possible. That's the reason for the success of our community forum, for instance, where I've learned a lot with more experienced and wired people. And that's the reason why I created webtools: a toolbox for webmasters. Unfortunately, given my absolute lack of time, the site has been neglected, but I think it may be very useful not only to the Wikidot community, but to everyone involved in site creation.
The idea is: this site is a place to rate, comment and share your opinion about web resources eg. Polldaddy, Youtube, Blogger, Tumblr…
So, what do you think? Any suggestions?
The site is open. You can join if you want.
