so users can earn points, and then redeem them for stuff or something like that
say 50 points for refferal,
2 point for article
etc.
could lead to a lot more enthusiasm about each wiki.

I'll second this. Content based wikis need a way to reward good user submitted content beyond rating the page.
the only problem is that people may spam, but that would be easy to control with the use of more moderators.
yes that wouldwork:)
i was gona suggest something like this, but 50 for refering is too much;)
Myabe at somepoint when you reach a certain number of points you can redeem them for getting rid of the .wikidot in your web's link. Would make your site more professional
You've got that already, for the cost of a domain name (~$15/yr) and free from Wikidot.
I was taling about users within a wiki, not over the whole wikidot website. So users wihtin my website could have points, but only on my website. I had no intention for this to be implemeted on the whole wikidot website. but i think the idea can work, maybe…
Has anyone implemented this yet?
I really like this plan
MAKE IT SO!
