A subset of the users that I am trying to get on my private site are not receiving the verification email. (3 out of 23)

One either switched emails or tried again latter and was able to receive it. I'm contacting him for more details on what he did. I'll post more when I know more. But there is a problem.

The user who switched emails originally used a hotmail account before
trying again with a domain specific one at a different time.

I'm contacting the others and seeing what sort of email they are using.

Apparently, everything should be fixed now.

According to a recent news article on the front page:

The last week has been very busy for us — after migrating Wikidot to a new datacenter our users have found a few problems related to uploading images and sending emails (i.e. email confirmations, invitations etc.) to Hotmail accounts. (Hotmail: this is YOUR fault!) We are more than happy to say that all the problems have been fixed!

A couple of my friends have not received the verification email, one has hotmail and has tried many times but without success. I haven't heard from the other yet.

It simply does not work as it does not provide the URL for the form to accept the verification code sent.
It needs to be fixed.

I have been having trouble sending invitations to people who have an apostrophe in their email address. The invitation program won't accept the email address. Is this a general problem and is there a way around it?

try to exchange the apostrophe by ascii char codes -

([http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ASCII] )

means:

a space ( blank ) character is:	hex 20
a '	hex 027
a "	hex 022

and so on ..

I can remember - the url is possible to translate into "printable" and usable caharacters by mixing them with %…% ( or such delimiter ) including the hex cahar code..

Please , try to find out on wikipedia which e-mail adress would be ok with such translations:

I've been unable to receive the verification email today using my work email address (a .gov.au address) - worked no problem for my home address though.

Is there any further info on domains that are problematic for wikidot or is it just one of those things?
