hi,
I have created a user account and joined the wiki site www.iaac-readings.wikidot.com

I can log into the wikidot site without a problem, but when i try to move over to the wiki site it won't let me edit anything. I try to log in, and looks like everything is happening properly, but the login screen dissapears and i am still not loged into the site to allow editing.
The administrator of the wiki assures me that i have the correct level of access to the site as well

please help

Go to your my_account ( right top meu after logging in)

and have a look onthe menue point Sites & memberships - member of:

is the site name ( title) displayed where you shgould have the rights to edit ?

if not than you are not a member of the site.. and have only the rights as all other wikidot accounts..

If the site is displayed than try to open the site itself (www.iaac-readings.wikidot.com )

and put in on the url: system:members ( in summary http://iaac-readings.wikidot.com/system:members )

You should see your name on it.

If you can see your name - than I would like to know the error you get if you try tro edit a page…

Hi

I registered to the site yesterday and i see my name 'Renu Gupta' on the members list.

I do see the site name where i have the rights to post and edit.

The error i get is

//Permission error
Oooops!

Sorry, you can not create a new page in this category. Only members of this site, site administrators and perhaps selected moderators are allowed to.//

Also have tried to check the 'time out of the session' problem.

I need to post my submission and if i could fix this as far as possible.

could be a "time out of the session" problem?
try to "check" the little box on your login screen to prevenbt this to happen in the worst moment…

I have the same problem, when I try to edit something the !!!perimission error appears

I have already checked the box in may login screen but I still have the same problem

if i go to your profile, you are admin of two sites.

Hovering on the links gives me:

http://www.aalublog.org/
and
http://www.aaluforum.org/
both of which , i am told don't exist.

So the i tried http://aalu.wikidot.com/
which gave me
THIS PAGE DOES NOT EXIST!!!

whats more , its directed to "forum:start", not "start"
ie: http://aalu.wikidot.com/start

http://aalu.wikidot.com/admin:manage

THIS PAGE DOES NOT EXIST!!!

so i have re created it for you. Try it now please.
You should be able to get in. And change all the settings that have gone wrong.

I think you have changed the URL adress of the site too in the admin:manage page ..

therefore the title aalu of the site is now complete different from the original www.aalu.wikidot.com

Try to open the page: http://aalu.wikidot.com/admin:manage

and change the url adress ( the name of your site ) back to aalu .

And create the "forum:start" page - this is now the landing page of your site!

I think you have redirected too much of your sites or deleted too much pages…

The forum is available , as Mr. Holmes Phil Chett has detected…

It seems that logging doesn't work with Safari. When you submit the login form, the page is reloaded, but you are still logged in as anonymous.

Works for me in Safari on Mac. Try refreshing the page by hand, logging in on other sites (like your site, the community, the main wikidot site), and try deleting the relevant cookies.

You ARE Logged in - otherwise you would never be able to write here!

1) Loging in works onöy for the WHOLE Wikidot.com worl.

2 ) if you can see this post - click on your user-name at the thread head
( or on your account name at the right top buttin …) you will come to the profile page…

3) ow do you mention that you are not logged in ?

What is the "sign " or result for this ?

This was more the questin of the cookies ?

Could be some tome the re logging as a different user ( with the same mail adress of course) starts a new clean sesion.
