As of today editing a page does not work correctly anymore.

When you click on Edit (or display it via “+options”, “view source”) old code (outdated, from a prior revision) is shown.

For an example see http://evdonaucity.wikidot.com — last news on the page are from Nov 15. Next click on “+options”, “view source” — last news are shown starting on Oct 24.

The bug is not restricted to the single wiki referred to in my post. It might actually affect each wikidot wiki — you might want to post a warning that users should not do any editing (as they might lose valuable changes that were done lately) until the problem is fixed.

I think I have fixed this, it is not a permanent fix but should work. There is serious problem with one of the libraries we depend on (pecl-xdiff) and I will try trace the bug.

The good thing is that:

• the bug did not cause database corruption
• no data has been lost
• you should be able to edit pages safely now, but the history (comparing versions) is still broken

I am working on it. Sorry about the issues!!!

Perhaps a related problem, the history diff between current and previous versions shows just a completely deleted page.

Now everything should be "back to normal". Sorry again about the issues - we have been trying really hard to make it smooth, but this time we missed a bug in a library that we depend on.

Anyway, we will be preparing a fix to pecl-xdiff so that it can properly parse arguments. It is really strange that the bug revealed only on this machine… We have been using xdiff on several servers without any problem, exactly the same version.

Probably listening to stories about software bugs is not what you would like to hear, so I will check a few more things and have some rest!

I am not sure this is the right thread for this question, so i'm apologising in advance. When I edit a page in my wiki, I get a pop-up window with the following message "the page at http://parentlink.wikidot.com says !". When I press ok to exit this screen the page does not save, and the cursor simply spins however long I wait. This has been going on for 24 hours. It's the longest page on the site. Is this simply a problem with the page length?
