I use _template categories a lot in my site, but I was wondering if I can force a page within a given category to bypass the _template. Thanks in advance for any help!
Hi Kawina. Yes, you can!
All you need to do is start the page name with an underscore.
For example, I might have a template for my blog (blog:_template). But I don't want my main list of all blog articles to use that template, so I'll name it with an underscore (blog:_start or blog:_list etc).
Let me know if you have any questions :)

Hi, Shane! Thank you very much for your prompt reply. However, I'm afraid I had expressed myself rather poorly. What I meant is as follows (with a real-life example):
(1) My site has a category, "perfil" (= profile) , for a directory of researchers. It's automatically numbered.
(2) Sometimes, a given profile needs to be removed (for instance, when an author recently passed away, I wanted to redirect his profile page to another page, which was not possible since it's a _templated category.
Is there any way I can redirect a page which has already been created within a given category?
Best,
Eduardo
No problem, thanks for the real-life example.
I'm sure there are a number of ways to approach this problem. The way I would do it would be to add a tag to those pages, e.g. "_archived" or "_deleted" or "_deceased" (pre-pending with an underscore so that it's a hidden tag, but that's not a requirement).
Then in the live template, I can use [[iftags _deceased]] and within that block add the redirect module.
From that point onwards, any pages you add the tag to will automatically be redirected.
Let me know if unclear :)

That's fantastic, Shane! Such a simple solution. Thanks a lot!
