Hi everyone!
In the Wiki I am building, I have structured a simple foldable list of themes that will eventually generate each a separate page. In order to facilitate external collaboration, I have used the syntax [[[category: new page | new page - name]]], where "new page - name" is one of the aforementioned themes, and "category" is Live Template.
When you do this, all themes with nonexistent pages are shown in a "light gray shade", which I think is a very convenient hint and invitation for collaboration. When you click in one of them, you are led to another page, where the warning "The page does not (yet) exist" and the link " Create page" are displayed. If you follow the link, the correct predefined Live Template is displayed, the information requested is inserted in the data forms, and, after saving, the new page is created. Now, if you come back to the list of themes, you can see the "light gray shade" have been converted to the standard "blue shade" for internet links, and it now points conveniently to the newly created page.
The only thing missing here is the option to predefine the parent page or perhaps tags, so that I won´t have to bother the external user, or have to manually add them later myself. A propos, I am well aware of the +Options menu at the bottom, or of the NewPage module button. But I would like to do instead as I described above.
I have tried to see if Magic URLs would do the trick, specially with variations of this syntax [http://site-name.wikidot.com/page-name/parentPage/parent-page-name Edit with parent page set], but to no effect. I was attracted to it by its description: "Works only with not existing pages. When you go to edit mode on such page, the parent page will be set to 'page-name'. May be combined with /edit/true, title/whatever etc."
So, I am doing something wrong? Is defining the parent page via "broken links" even possible? Should I post it as a wish in the feedback session? Any workarounds? Any help much appreciated!
