Hi, I'm jimmybond and I started on wikidot about 3 weeks ago. I'm not one to cry for help when only marginally challenged, but I think the "create a fully functional blog" instructions are tripping me up. I see an error message that states: The ListPages module does not work recursively. I looked that up in the forum and didn't get a good answer. Bye the way I LOVE it here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

What is happening is that you've got category="blog" in your ListPages module on the blog:home page. It is picking up the blog:home page, and trying to show that as part of the results (which won't work as it also has a ListPages module on it, and the module can't be used recursively¹)

What you need to do is to rename the blog:home page to be a hidden page, because those don't show up in ListPages results.

Scroll to the bottom of the page, click on "rename", and change blog:home to be blog:_home instead. You will need to update any links that you have to that page, but it should make the blog start working properly.

Leiger is right.
However, there is an another method.
Tag your blog:home page with a hidden tag "_home" and add a selection criteria on tags to prevent ListPages from selecting pages tagged with "_home".

I got it. Thank you very much for your wisdom and patience. I am only a newbie to wikidot and it's refreshing to have helpful courteous responses to help requests rather than smug jerkery.
