Some Wikidotians may remember how I always refer to code on the wdfiles domain with the /local--code/page-name/# technique, as opposed to the /page-name/code/# technique.

My defence was always “I have experienced times when this technique did NOT work, however the /local--code/ technique was foolproof and always worked”

Today I discovered the circumstances in which the technique would not work. It won't work on hidden pages, or pages within hidden categories. As we know, hidden pages/categories have the first character in their name as an underscore (_)

Proof:

• hidden:page — yes, /code/1 works
• hidden:_page — no, /code/1 doesn't work
• _hidden:page — no, /code/1 doesn't work
• _hidden:_page — no, /code/1 doesn't work

It's been fixed and is in testing, I assume it'll get pushed this weekend.

Yeah, so this bug… is it hard to fix?

I wrote that because I wasn't sure if anybody had noticed this report… not because I was being a "fix my problem now" brat.

I try to follow every thread on this site, and any bugs get tracked.

We really need to start bugs.wikidot.com IMO but I've not managed to get around to finishing the infrastructure (TopicTree template and simple tracker application).
