I love which are great for a number of reasonshover tips. Especially when I can do them inline, and without the use of Hover over the “1” next to Wikidot1.
That is a footnote. The shame about footnotes is that you can't click on the links in the hovering footnote.footnotes. When using footnotes, Wikidot automatically renders a footnote block at the end of the page (naturally, it IS a footnote after all). Wikidot footnotes have inbuilt hover popups, which is the main reason I used to use them.
The great thing about these hover tips is that they're made of CSS… so they will function perfectly when your preview your posts/pages (unlike the javascript footnotes)
I've created a HowTo to do this HowTo use inline hover tips.
Below is an automatically generated footnote block, because I used a footnote in this post…can you find it?
Indeed, this is a hover tip for the sake of having a hover tip.
But I can't resist!
They're just too much fun!.
