Many of the sites affected were Iron Giant sites. For example, the Bug Tracker template, revision #7, made by a now deleted account, blocked the entire page from being edited by covering it with a black box, an image, and some text.

[[/div]]Many people say that it was Googol02 (and/or their many alts, such as
googology), a known troll, who hacked them. Though, it is possible that there are multiple hackers, and a lot of this stuff is still just rumors. This Github page includes a list of things they have done.
To remove the vandalism, you can add "/norender/true/1" to the page (which makes the page not render), and then edit the page so that it is reverted back to normal.
A somewhat reliable list of their accounts can be seen here (please do not harass the people on this list, none of this is confirmed). Many of Googol’s accounts have been taken over, presumably by the same person who made the Github site listing Googol’s activity.
