Yeah it looks like it's been hacked. Don't expect it to get fixed, at all. And if it does, it is by some miracle.

The owner has been MIA from here for years and the site is falling apart. He posted once in 2023 to deal with a hack and prior to that once in 2019. I'm surprised wikidot is even still up except that Michał puts in the bare minimum for the ad revenue he earns from it. He could use a bit of that to hire someone at least once every few years to update stuff like security and the ability to accept new GA4 analytics standards since he himself, despite developing the site, can't be bothered to give 2 shits about people that are still onboard. Who doesn't care about web traffic? Only people with websites they don't care fail or succeed - otherwise they would want actual feedback on traffic from Google Analytics. That includes Michał.

He's busy though with "new" projects and he's busy on reddit too talking about his hobby (his Tesla last year and this year it's Chat GPT). Meanwhile, wikidot is getting buried alive under a sea of spam and obsoletism that he could prevent if he only he had one simple tool to lean on… the ability to care about his users.

In a reddit comment 27 days ago he said: "I think Strava has a decent competitor in creating vaporware. Now I cannot decide which of these two is more useless, because both appear as total garbage."

Vaporware? Oh the irony.

He tried to sell the site for BTC and didn't even care enough to reply to people interested. At this point he would be lucky to give it away for free under agreement to update it and keep it running. He's just letting it rot away while trying to squeeze every bit of Adsense revenue he can out of it before it dies. Some wise words were spoken once about how you have to care about your users, they were his words in a lecture recorded on video… I can't seem to find it now.

And don't go thinking this post will rouse him to action in favor of doing something GOOD for wikidot, it's never worked before. This is him (not the video I mentioned above).
