One of the problems I have is that ListPages can't be narrowed by parent and PageTree can't target tags.

[[module ListPages Category="Skill" Parent="Pickpocket" Tag="Combat"]]

Instead of listing all the Skill category pages, parented to Pickpocket, with the tag Combat, I get all the Skill category pages, with the tag Combat, that happen to be parented to anything.

As a workaround you could add a "system tag" that matches the parent (i.e _pickpocket). The underscore in the tag keeps it from showing up in tag clouds and then you could use ListPages like this:

[[module ListPages category="skill" tags="combat +_pickpocket"]]

I realize this could be a lot of work to add the tags if you have a lot of content.

Sorry, there is in the documentation of ListPages ( http://www.wikidot.com/doc:listpages-module ) NO attribute "parent"…

Yes, but there needs to be.

And it still recognizes the attribute, documentation or not.

I think all modules simply ignore any attributes they don't recognize. It can helpful and a curse at the same time. I have been known to waste time trying to figure out why I'm not getting the results I expect because of a !@#$ typo in an attribute name. Sometimes it's simplay the fact that I screwed up the CaSe of the attribute. It's nice that errors aren't generated so the rendered output of a page still looks OK. Then again, an error message would help while developing a page. Maybe a nice message added to the "saving…" message that says "Hey, dummy! You made at typo in module XXXX" ;)

ListPages currently does not recognize a “parent” attribute and listed pages will not be restricted to pages with parents only. It will list all pages whether with or without a parent.

Some more to THIS topic ….

1)
How can I create a form (_template), to automatically add all added pages to the same PARENT as the current page. Or should I rather say, link it to the PARENT page it is created from. Is there any function available to do that?

2)
How can one also auto assign new pages to the same CATEGORY in which it was created. This would make working easier for visitors not to 'link' pages to the Global / Main CATEGORY, but well to the same CATEGORY from which the page was created.

Could anybody help, please?

You can create pages that are childpages of the current page in two ways:

1) use the NewPage button snippet from http://snippets.wikidot.com/code:newpage-button

[[include :snippets:newpage-button
|size=400px
|category=%%category%%
|parent=%%fullname%%
|button=Add a new page in the %%category%% category
]]

As you can see, that puts it into the same category as the current page.

2) Use the NewPage module:

[[module NewPage parent="."]]

An example of where I use this is in the live template that controls the pages here. The button at the bottom of the page creates a new page under the current page.

I hope that was what you meant.
