I can't get the Default content in Live Templates to work as described in doc:templates. To demonstrate, I've set up a test template at http://shtum.wikidot.com/test:_template using the example on the documentation page:
The template separates the template code from the Default Content code with four "=" characters as described in the documentation.
Then I've created a test page based on that template at http://shtum.wikidot.com/test:mynewpage
My first problem is that the Default Content isn't placed in the editor for the page creator to edit. However, the documentation states:
When a user wants to start a new page in the category, this content will be placed in the editor.
This is pretty important to me if I want users to use and understand the live templates.
The second problem is that the Default Content is being appended to the bottom of the compiled page as fixed text:
====
This will be content of the side bar.
====
The main content.
====
This will go into the left cell of the table.
====
And this into the right cell.
So it's clearly not recognizing the Default Content properly.
The third problem is that the Edit Sections functionality in the Page Options is not working. I just get the message:
Error: There are no isolated sections to edit.
I don't know what the issue is here, but I assume it's related to the other problems I've been having.
Any help or advice greatly appreciated. I've temporarily enabled anonymous creation and editing within the test: category so please feel free to create/edit pages within that category.
Thanks in advance.
