Since it took too long to get a reply on the wiki the sandbox belongs to:
I want to know how to make offsets in the sandbox so I can make it look like there are two people talking to each other throughout the text without having mess with the flow of the article. Basically, my idea is that there is a link to the offset when the user "recieves a message" or "sends a reply". The only problem is that I don't know how to do this.
Noting that I'm not a genius when it comes to wiki syntax.
I could go:
You've got mail from [[image http://www.wikidot.com/common--theme/base/images/karma/karma_4.png style="width: 7px; height: 16px;"]][[image http://www.wikidot.org/common--images/avatars/default/a48.png style="width:16px; height:16px;"]] [/dead-link//offset/1 Messenger]
To view your message from them, click their profile link.
~whatever text I'll have here in the offset~
I took this code from ForestIsWatching with their permission.
This will make it create a fake profile, and when they click the user's profile page, take them to the off-set. However, as of now, when I press the link, it gives me a "This page does not exist yet!" message. Should I create the page?
Once they read the "message", they could get the option to reply.
I could do this for when the user/reader replies:
Do you wish to reply, [[image http://www.wikidot.com/common--theme/base/images/karma/karma_2.png style="width: 7px; height: 16px;"]][[image http://www.wikidot.org/common--images/avatars/default/a48.png style="width:16px; height:16px;"]] [/dead-link//offset/1 Replier]?
