Some people are using Google analytics with the UA-xxxxxxx format on wikidot.
However Google is replacing this by a new v4 type of analytics ID. That is not longer UA-xxxxxx but G-xxxxxx

However:
on Wikidot administration section for Google Analytics only the UA-xxxxxxxx id is accepted not the G-xxxxxxxxx.

Will this be implemented?
Especially since General Analytics platform will stop by June 1, 2023.

And the clock keeps ticking. Sadly, in terms of getting useful feedback to keep your site competitive with others, there really isn't much of an alternative that is also free and running a site without visitor traffic stats is running blind. The nearest is awstats (though inferior imo).

There is a rumor that one of those secretive Google Algo's is based on whether or not GA is installed on a site. The reasoning is that if a site owner does not care enough about traffic to measure it, then Google should not care enough to rank it.
