Wikidot now has one and only three user groups:
- user
- mod
- administrator (…and master administrator?)
This one-size-fits-all approach really feels "interesting".
Wouldn't Wikidot learn MediaWiki or even Fandom?
For a large and sophisticated website, the security management tools in the site manager simply don't work1.
Can't we just have a small feature update?
By making an If judgment on the contribution of this site, it is assigned to a user group that can be customized in the site manager according to the number of edits or the number of posts. Permissions can be customized per user group - can you edit it here, post in that forum category (restricted posts are useful, especially in polls!). It really can't be done, developers can use Karma values to make up2.
