In the page http://www.wikidot.com/doc:sendinvitations-module, I discovered typo in the code block, at Examples section.
Invite your friends to this Wiki!

While setting up a new custom domain this morning I noticed the following error on the admin:manage Custom Domain page:
You can also set up to 3 "301 redirects". This means that if these domain are handled
should be changed to "if these domains are handled"
Rob
Fixed! Thanks for reporting.

In every page which contain [[module ManageSite]], there is typo at:

[[module MembershipApply]
actually it should be:
[[module MembershipApply]]
missed the close-square-bracket I suppose?
Just double-checked, this has been fixed.
Create a new todo. Embed to in the same page with the same id. The error message is spelt wrong.

It appears tsangk could (or should) have been more clear! ;)

When I tried to delete a forum post… here come the message
Delete forum post
Are you sure you want to delete the above post? There is no way to recover deleted posts.
The post you want to delete is placed in a nested environment. All other posts that depend (are lower in a dep tree) are also surrounded by a red frame and will also be deleted. In most cases it is better to edit the post instead of deleting it.
What is dep? I search in the dictionary and get nothing… should it depth?
and how about… http://community.wikidot.com/forum/t-146069/spelling-mistakes-new#post-484259…

oh yeah you're right… but in general, common abbreviation for dep are:
dep.
· abbrev.
1 departs.
2 deputy.
I think it should be changed accroding to what Rob have posted. Thanks Rob…

@Erich, thanks for these errata, I've fixed the doc.
http://www.wikidot.com/doc:quick-reference:
- “[http://www.wikidot.com/doc:wiki-syntax#typography elpisis]...” should be “ellipsis...” (typo and link)
- “em -- [http://www.wikidot.com/doc:wiki-syntax#typography dash]” should be “em -- dash” (link)
- “@@ : Name : Explanation” should be “: Name : Explanation” (leading “@@” removed)
- “[[ gallery size="image-size" ]]” should be “[[gallery size="image-size"]]” (spaces removed)
- “|| cell 1 || cell 2 || cell 3 ||” should be removed
- “[[ include pagename ]]” should be “[[include pagename]]” (spaces removed)
- “[[$ E = mc^2 $]]” should be “[[$ E = mc^2 $]]” (link)
Fixed, thanks!
I'm looking to make a quick reference that can show in a nav:side (as a collapsed block) for use while editing a page.
Thanks, done.

should be

Also, "he is a guru"… it's better practice to avoid specifying a sex. Perhaps…
The highest karma level (red) indicates that the user is very advanced and experienced — a Wikidot guru
This still reads correctly, but it assume the user is male or female. In addition, it also brands my favourite Wiki engine =D
Fixed, thanks.
Searching on sandbox doesn't work, because page search:site doesn't exist and we're not allowed to create pages in category search.
Can you please create search:site? Thanks!

admin:manage -> Members -> Policy ->
At the very bottom:
- Accounce your Site in the Community Forums
Presumably, this should be Announce.
Was fixed, I've checked.
After uploading a file, one gets the following message:
Upload compete!
The uploads are competing with each other! :O
I wonder who will win? ;-)

OK, fixed in the source, will be pushed at some stage. Thanks for reporting this.
If you open up your Private Messages and look at the "sent" listing, one column is titled Recepient
This should be: Recipient

Noted, will be fixed soon. Thanks.
When trying to add a domain that "does not resolve to a valid IP address" (manage site -> custom domain -> save changes):
"Sorry, it seams that the new domain does not resolve to a valid IP address. See the tips at the bottom of this page."

When a user with an existing wikidot account tries to join a private site the message is:
Please make me a member of your marvelous site.
In the UK this spelling would be considered a spelling mistake as marvellous should have 2 ls. In the USA the spelling is correct with 1.
To resolve that conundrum I would remove the word altogether, it's really not needed and it strikes a wrong note with me anyway.
It "strikes a wrong note" with me as well, but I didn't have any suggestions for an alternative sentence. I suppose just removing that word would be enough.

Yuk! Based on that sensational selection, Ed, I would simply leave out marvellous. :-) Better still, if it's possible, change it to:
Please make me a member of %%site-name%%.
Sue
Oh, come on! You don't like this?
Please make me a member of your peachy keen, super dreamy, really swell, solid gold site.
-Ed :)
Please make me a member of your peachy keen, super dreamy, really swell, solid gold site
I'm totally up for that!!!!
WTF?
…
Oh! Okay!
You see, I thought you wrote that marvellous should have two eyes (I've written this phonetically, I'm talking about the letter after H and before J). I hate that a capital I is sometimes identical to a lowercase L.
Peachy? Hehe, that's a new one on me. I doubt it would appear in the list of synonyms this side of the Atlantic. Vive la Différence!
I've made an issue request for the site manager, Marketing panel, "Adjective you use to describe your site: _".
Just kidding. One rule of plain writing is to never use adjectives. The M word will go and maybe we can insert the actual site name.
