I just started a free 30-day Pro+ Trial today to give this uploader a try…
Doesn't seem to be working in the trial…
Do I need to end the Pro trial and upgrade to minimum Pro Lite to get access to it ?

If you are paying for a Pro account, you are given the advantage to test upcoming new features. I say "test" because these features are in their "beta stage" and are potentially unstable.
The whole point of having a "Pro+ Trial" is so you can experience the added advantages of being a Pro+ user. The beta features are not offered to you because they are potentially unstable. Why would Wikidot risk new members getting a bad trial experience through de-functional features? So they provide you with the stable enhanced experience.
To answer your question, yes, you need to upgrade to a paying plan to have access to beta features.

Hi am a frequent bulk file uploader for my site. I use Flash, but got notified to deinstall as it will be out of service by the end of the year. Will we have to resort back to the html single-file uploader? Or are there plans to migrate the bulk uploader to html5 or whatever. Drag and drop would be a blast, very helpfull.
No, there will be no new other solution to upload files.
Ihave not deleted the newest flash-player from adobe and i will see after dec 2020 if it works…

If you are on a Windows PC, it will be removed eventually by Microsoft.

Not at the moment, but somewhere next year it will most likely happen, it will stop working next year. Alternative is to use a unsecure computer, which not updates anymore.
So there is definately a need for a replacement, uploading a file one-by-one is simply not a good solution.
Any update, knowing FLASH is gone in about a months time?
We really need a new bulk file-uploader. Preferrably Drag-and-drop kind of tool, based on HTML5
But any type will do, as long as it's not a file at a time like the old version that will remain

Yes I got that working, so it will solve the bulk file uploader using Flash. Downside of this is you have to navigate away from the page you want to upload files to, so although it works great, it's still very user unfriendly…………………….
It still would be a great service if a bulk uploader based on HTML5 would be implemented, especially since Flash will definitely stop working on January 12, 2012 (see: https://www.neowin.net/news/adobe-flash-player-gets-its-last-update-as-support-ends-this-year).
This is what is said about Flash after December 31, 2020……………………..
"Today is the end of the line for Flash, as Adobe has released the last scheduled update for Adobe Flash Player today. As previously announced, Flash Player will be supported through the end of the year, on December 31, but not after that. What's more, Adobe itself will block Flash content from running in Flash Player after January 12, 2021, so you won't be able to use it at all."
Thanks for reminding me, that after 12. Januar 2021 no Flash Player will work!

As of today the FLASH-based multi-upload does not work anymore, the button will load, but will not respond anymore.
We now need to us single-file uploader again, or the wikidot extension. I really wish there was no need to switch to the sitesettings to upload more than one file to a page. It's very unproductive, although the extension itself is great.
All who are using the Flas-base multi-uploader.
There is a way to bypass the block of loading Flash content

I've done it for my wikidot site. And it works in Firefox, Edge and Chrome. Make sure you set the sites permissions to allow for Flash-content.

If these folders do not exist, create them.
If you already uninstalled Adobe Flash, reinstall it from the file you previously downloaded. If not available use the deburg-version, which still can be downloaded. If required I can provide the file as well for Windows10.
Eventually Windows will start to remove the Flash Player, so until then this solution will work for you.
I do not understand what you mean with different pages - open in different tabs and the extensions alss open ?

What I meant, Helmut, is that I have to switch to another page (or tab), search for the page I want to add files to. It's much easier to upload while being on the page you want to add the pages to (the old Bulk-uploader based on Flash). Although the new method works, it's just not as user-friendly as the old method.
I use the latest Firefox (85), Chrome, etc.
Unfortunately, with the latest update of Firefox, the Flash workaround is no longer working for me, so I will have to get custom to the new method I guess.
The released version 85 of Firefox (January 26, 2021) no longer has an option to load Flash. If you want to use the earlier mentioned workaround, install a second, but older, version of Firefox. Version 84.2 is the last version that is available to load Flash.
Installing older version (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/939994# ) alongside the latest version (multiple installs).
Have not tried it myself, will simply get used to the new way to upload multiple files I guess.
