Hi there
Hopefully you guys will love this. I've been working on the idea that a professional sitcom could be made in collaboration with it's audience and now, amazingly, it's live.
I really wanted wikidot to be the wiki system for this because of Michal's excellent vision of what a wiki farm should be. The ability to embed many widgets and really importantly, to let external RSS feeds flow through the pages. I started using wikidot last year to keep track of my own interests in open media projects which has lead to this new format of digital entertainment.
The wiki is here:-

We really could not have done this without the help of Michal - over the past few months we've talked and planned for this and now it's live. Thank you Michal - I hope we bring you lots of traffic!
You guys are the first to hear about it, we only went live on Thursday afternoon. I'd really like to hear feedback on how we set up the Joneses wiki and what you think of the productions - because you know wikidot better than anyone else. Please have a go at writing script ideas and characters. Tell the Joneses what you want them to do! There is a forum too, so you can leave notes on our wiki bugs as well as talk about the project in general.

The wiki is for you the audience to write the daily script and design characters in the comedy. Then the team make the comedy media (video) and post it to the blog the next day or so. This is ongoing for the next 3 months. If you like it, it hopefully keep going with new people in the production. We just dont know where this will lead.
You might also be interested to hear that we are using the Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike v3 licence just like wikidot. For those who know about Creative Commons, you'll understand that everything you the audience contribute to the project is reflected in the media production - this means you can take the media and remix, hack and share to your heart's desire - legally. It is the first time a brand funded media project has removed restrictions so there there are no commercial/ DRM/licence restrictions. We have Ford to thank for that. If you want to learn about free media, I was involved in making a video about this a while ago - you can watch it below.
But I'll leave you with the first couple of episodes of "Where are the Joneses" Hope you like them.
Here's the video about why Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike v3 is a great way to make life more interesting. It's not as funny as the Joneses!
Let me know what you think of this.
Thanks!
David
