I've written to moc.todikiw|sda#moc.todikiw|sda. They even didn't answer me!
Advertising worked correectly on my site. I guess I am part of these points.
And, of course, everything was set correctly in my "_admin" page advertising.
Google Adsense wants to see my ID in the wikidot.com/ads.txt, but I am not an owner of Wikidot! I can not edit this file!

1. Could be this is a meta-data ?

add ( in edit_meta) a meta-tag ads.txt with the content = your id for all pages ( whole site)

2. add a file ads.txt with the id to your home page as file ( upload ) - but this is stored on wdfile.com

Another possibility ? at the moment no.

I believe we have to wait for the developer.

3.. I have made for my sites ( community a.s.o) a "google search center" and was asked for "my sites" at the startup of my google account.

I have never put in any extra code to demonstrate that these sites where mine..

Is there a meta tag neccessary?

Google Adsense wants the file with this string:

google.com, pub- (my 16-number ID), DIRECT, *** (my 16-sign ID)

No, it doesn't work to add this file to my home page, I've tried this.
I've read in the Internet, that Google Adsense uses the file ads.txt to exclude a chance of fraudulent traffic resale. (I am not an expert, I don't know why they want it in fact). Since last year July everything works correctly, but couple months ago one day I've found a message, that I need to copy that string to the file, else I risk to lose part of my earnings. Since that day the Google Adsense advertising disappeared and I lost all my advertising traffic and profit.

I've sent a letter in 7 of February to the Wikidot support and have got an answer:

Lately we made changes to our ads, we will investigate and fix that issue asap.

And since that time nobody answer to my letters. And, you know, it's very sad, because I don't understand what is going on.

I added this meta-tag, as you offered. May be it will help, but I am not sure… Thank you.

Could you please specify: what a feedback site do you mean?

At the bottom of near every Wikidot screen there is a line of links to the wikidot main sites ( as on the http://blog.wikidot.com/main:index )

http://feedback.wikidot.com/ is one of these links

I would recommend to create a bug for exact this problem that we cannot create a page called "ads.txt" on our subdomains with the ID-data from google we need to use their adsense.

And: I am not alone, there are lot of other gurus from the past, when we helped Wikidot to get bigger and better.
Have a look on the community forum and you will see sometimes Pro accounts (from 2007 and older) answering the questions.

You folks are not alone. I'm having the same problem. I hope this can be resolved soon.

And a month later this is still broken …

I feel your pain. I'm beginning to investigate migration away from Wikidot. Without AdSense ability, there's little incentive to stay, much incentive to leave.

I have asked a member of Wikidot team in a private Message about the possibilities for the future..

I have the same problem. Advertising revenue is the only reason I pay for a pro package.
