Hello, I'm new to wikidot - thanks for providing such a great service. My volunteer group is hoping to use our wiki to capture the history of engineering in Western Australia.
My question is about trying to customise the look of my front page which uses the Standard Red template - see here. I'm trying to hide the top headers like the one shown in the picture here and reduce the height of the red section.
I've been following the guidance in this forum post and created a css theme called css:theme in a test site with following code:
[[code type="css"]]
@import url('http://css.wikidot.com/theme:standard-red/code_');
#header{
height: 100px;
}
#header h1 a span{
display:none;
}
#header h2{
display:none;
}
.header-wrap {
height: 450px;
}
.feature-header {
height: 310px;
top: -310px;
}
[[/code]]
(yes, I realise some of those heights aren't going to add up - I'll be tweaking that when I can get the basics working)
So then in the Site Manager I set the External URL for the home category to /css:theme/code/1, but the test home page looks terrible It doesn't seem to be picking up the Standard Red template at all, although it has now hidden the H1 and H2, so it does seem to be reading the custom css.
Can anyone tell me where I have gone astray? Many thanks.
