How can you get karma fast? I need to make a wiki as a group project in school, and I just heard they give marks depending on your karma, so is there a trick to it or something? (I got about 10 days left)

I recommend making a wiki and doing your page creation and any spam posting THERE. If you have questions on how to make it work the way you want to, this community forum is a good place to ask those questions. But I repeat, this is not a good place to spam.

what you're trying to do is not very nice :), but absolutely a smart question… Unfortunately, you'll just have to work, as everybody. Can't help it. Moral support, I'm getting crazy with this project too… And i've been spending hours on the wiki, editing and working. There's no other way to get your karma… Why don't you try to help editing the pages in layout, Benny has been working all afternoon…

It's not that hard, you just need to like IDK edit and make more pages on your own wikidot site, or you can try to help other people's wikis though it takes a long time

Karma levels should be based on experience and knowledge of wikidot and the contribution someone makes to the community. Spamming the forum or similar activities to artificially elevate the karma level just devalues it for everyone.

I have the same problem as jou. The most normaal solution is just work at jour wiki, try as much to change as jou ken, stay logged in all the time, carrect soms spelling mistakes and cetera.

Heh, I've been a member of Wikidot for quite some while now… Though, my karma level has been retained at the same amount for that whole time. It seemed to shoot up from 0 - 3 very fast, but even getting it to very high feels like such a chore now… I've tried making my own sites too, (I own 2 and am a guest admin on 1,) but I haven't gotten much visible progress. I've also been posting regularly since I became a member of Wikidot and have constantly helped in supporting a friend's Wiki.
Another thing I was confused about was how my friend received a "very high" karma level. He pretty much creates random useless Wikis (most of them are deleted) and he doesn't even post in the Wikidot community! How does this work?

ikr right, It takes forever to get to very high although i nticed you already ahve it by now. I also know someone who go to high karma in a few days.

And the point of that was ….what? They didn't know much about creating Wikidot sites, didn't have a solid knowledge of wikidot syntax and coding and didn't have a good reputation with real Wikidot experts. High karma without real knowledge, experience and skills is totally pointless.

Asking that here isn't really a good idea ;-) If a way to "cheat" the karma system is found it'll probably be fixed really quickly.
Basically, you need to regularly create and edit pages on your own sites, other people's sites, and need to help others in the community forums. As far as I know, they're the three main things that contribute to improving your Wikidot karma.
Make sure you're actually being useful and not spamming though… because spammers get their accounts deleted pretty quickly too ;-)

Very High takes noticeably longer to achieve. Keep at it and one day you'll find you are there.
Guru karma is well named. You wont get there without spending a huge amount of time editing wikis, contributing to the community and so forth.
Wait… your teacher is basing your value on wikidot karma level? Tell your teacher s/he should be more concerned with the content of your work and less concerned with whether or not you were just doing busy work to get a colorful rainbow next to your avatar.

You have started your 1. wiki 2 days back… karma is not coming from posting in forums alone, but also in co-work in other wikis, but most in edits in your own wiki.

Well I have been trying to get high karma and I got low Trying to get it high before the week ends even getting low karma makes me glad
