Ok folks!

I followed a link from the PCFluxboxOS main site to post what I considered a bug regarding this particular distro!
This is most likely the wrong site for such a thing, I apologize for it to the community and withdraw the post.

niam

You place a text in our forum and my first idea was exact my answer :
this is the wrong place to ask the community of wikidot under the category Wikidot features und bugs !

Either you use our forum to have a place to discuss your problem with another (anonym?) visitors
or show it to other members of wikidot.

You are not a member of any site nor an admin. Therefore I think you use our user helping forum to place a question and to have a permanent link to send..

If there is a need to place such "outside" or "foreign" help question :

please use the Coffee table in our forum!

I beleive perhaps all the admins here have to read your text and to check if this is really a bug of wikidot.

Is it?

Regards
Helmut

He is wondering how this is a bug in the wikidot software. Maybe your post is about something else, and thus is is in the wrong forums or site. This is the wikidot community bugs and problems forum, and you don't even mention wikidot in your post. I have no clue about what ever you are asking about.

Congratulations on your effort to thin down PCLOS.

I have a Sagem 800 type E4 adsl modem and I have no success in getting PCFluxboxOS to see it.
Specifically, although the right firmware is coped into the /lib/firmware/ueagle-atm directory
and ueagle_atm modprobed the Control Center cannot see the modem under the network-dsl section.
I have even tried setting the connection manually by configuring the appropriate files in /etc/ppp
and etc/ppp/peers directories modprobing pppoatm and pppd call "my connection file in /etc/ppp/peers"
without success either.

This same modem appears effortlessly in the Control Center of both pclos-gnome-2.21.2 and pclinux-minime-2008
once the right firmware is copied in to /lib/firmware/ueagle-atm directory and ueagle_atm is modprobed.

Can you help me out and straighten this issue in the next release?
(The above holds true for both tinyFlux and midiFlux)
