yes (currently) they do not read the captcha. but there're already proof of concept that some captcha can be easily read.

it's best (imho) to hide the links using js/ajax.
just like how you hide your email address…

other than that, mostly iframe should works.
and when iframe is not an option, we can easily put any html/js into widgetbox.

iframe has been extended a bit, and with a little bit of surgery to the embed code most things can be included.
