Another solution with include url in ONE line:
you can use a standard include like

I cannot answer your question. I have no idea why you need a "gallery". I never needed a gallery for my own purposes..
but i can imagine that you want to use the "viewer" of the gallery - to have a forward and backward switch..

That is easy to solve(do not forget - you need an extra argument with the link= - means the same http adress 2x):

Have you seen this elsewhere with a gallery of url-images ? Not to speak of the legal problems without any notice of the rights of the pictures…
I have a lot of ideas to minimize this problem… like an include of your own where you insert one "url" into some positions of such image tag…
Than the code would be only one line like

No, the code helmuti gave you does not require anything to be installed.

The size attribute in the gallery module does work, but only when you have images uploaded to your own site. For example the different sized images at http://vineyard.wikidot.com/portfolio:main are uploaded to the site and displayed with the "square" attribute which makes them all come out the same size. And that uses the syntax:

But the gallery module is not designed to work with external images. If your images are hosted externally then Wikidot has no way of re-sizing them.

I realise you are frustrated with this but your posts today came across as unnecessarily aggressive. Please remember we're here to help but sometimes solutions are not always easy or possible or achieve exactly what you want.

I do not understand - why do you need than a "galllery" - on the linked page is a lof of image tags you can use.. what is the problem with the one - line text to "edit"?

Why doesn't that width and height work in galleries?!? It's blowing my mind. Really. What is the reason?

I have 90 urls in a gallery. Guess what, they're all full-sized. And they're not even same size… others are 700x800 others 1800x700 etc. You think that's easy to browse? It looks nausiating. Why wouldn't you have width attribute in galleries? You already have it working with images. Why? Why? Why? I can't figure this out. D:

Sure you can make a "gallery" with a table and images but you CAN'T make link images (which is also blowing my mind) and even if you could the code would be something like

If your image is local, you can use size attribute, with following:

"square" - 75x75 pixels
"thumbnail" - 100 on longest side
"small" - 240 on longest side
"medium" - 500 on longest side
"large" - 1024 on longest side (only for Flickr large images)
"original" - original image (Flickr only)

But if your picture is from somewhere else… then use:

width, or
height

example code (just try it):

I have a large image that I want to resize. I've tried using syntax from the attribute list, but it doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions would be helpful.
